New trailer came out today for the Walter Salles adaptation of Kerouac’s famous novel. The book that means so much to me from my younger moco days. I’m happy to see the film has an R rating. I’m happy to see the January 2013 opening date for wide release will soon be here.

So strange that you mentioned this trailer. I’ve just checked out “On The Road” from the library and plan to read it this weekend. Coincidence is a funny thing.
Great minds blog alike. Perhaps also check out the original scroll version with the grittier content Viking Press and the young Kerouac edited out. I’m glad to see the film version has used that version for the script.
Amazing. It actually looks like a decent, entertaining novel adaptation. Maybe.
Salles has made some decent films. The Che Gueverra film The Motorcycle Diairies was a road movie and impressive so I have high hopes.
